Tests ran the week of 2/28/01
My computer settings:
- FC VA-503+ Super 7 Baby AT Motherboard with 100MHz FSB
Support and 1MB L2 Cache
- AMD K6-2 500 MHz Processor
- 128 MB PC-100 SDRAM
- Maxtor 20 GB DMA/66 Hard Drive
- 3Dfx Interactive, Inc. Banshee Video Card
- Windows 98 SE on 20 GB FAT32 Primary Partition
- Windows Me on 4 GB FAT32 Primary Partition
- Windows 2000 Professional on 16 GB NTFS Logical
Partition
The Macintosh emulators were configured as follows:
- 1 MB ROM image with a checksum of $FF7439EE
(From a Quadra 605)
- 68040 emulation was used
- 32 MB of RAM
- New 200 MB HD file with a clean install of a
8.0 Core System for any Macintosh then the 8.1 update (Unneeded extension
were deleted)
- CD-ROM and Floppy disabled
- Model ID Quadra 950
- Macintosh disk cache set to 1024 K
- 800 by 600 @ 256 colors and full screen mode
- Disabled sound
- Video drivers: Fusion used used an 8 MB refreshed
video driver @
30 FPS, Basilisk used Direct X, SoftMac 2000 used it's built-in Direct X.
- The virtual desktop feature of Basilisk II was
disabled, the FPU was enabled, and low memory caching was disabled.
- The Basilisk II JIT builds were set to use the
following settings
