CDenable(Freeware)653 K |
Fusion V2.x does recognize Mac HFS (Hierarchical Filing System) CD-ROMs when run in Windows mode. This is a limitation of the Windows OS as Microcode Solutions points out. But there are ways to get Fusion to recognize HFS formatted CDs in Windows after all. This installation package is the easiest method. This is a file on Ardi's site (from Lauri Pesonen) that installs the needed cdenable files and the appropriate registry entries. The cdenable.vxd overwrites BasiliskII's so after installing, copy B2's cdenable.vxd back to the System directory overwriting the older cdenable.vxd. If you do not use BasiliskII, then you don't have to worry. 8^) |

(Freeware) |
This program
is required to capture the ROM from a real Macintosh.
Copy this file on to a PC formatted floppy. Put the floppy in your real Macintosh and then use Stuffit Expander (or something similar) to decode/decompress the archive. Once this is done, just double-click on the program's icon. A dialog box will be displayed with information about the ROM and the option to save the image to a disk file. |

Gemulator
Explorer
(Freeware) |
Gemulator Explorer can read Macintosh
formatted floppy disks, CD-ROMs, Iomega ZIP disks, Syquest disks, Jaz
disks, external SCSI hard disks, and Atari ST TOS formatted floppy disks,
Iomega ZIP disks, and Atari formatted SCSI hard disks.
It can create disk images from disks, or write the disk images back to a disk. Disk images can be used by emulators such as Xformer 98, Gemulator 98, SoftMac 99 (and Fusion, Basilisk, vMac, Executor, and Worm). 8^) |
HFV Explorer(Freeware) |
An
HFS volume browser for Windows NT and Windows 9x.
This project started in the fall 1996 as a read-only, Explorer like viewer and launch pad for ARDI Executor HFV volume files. Since then, the program has gradually evolved to do much more than that. Most people use it to transfer files between Macintosh HFS volumes and Windows VFAT or NTFS volumes. It can also read Mac CD's and 1.4MB floppies. 400k and 800k Mac floppies cannot me read, due to the limitations of PC floppy controller. The program is tested under Windows 95 (release, service pack 1 and OSR2), Windows 98 release (without service packs), Windows NT 4.0 service pack 3, Windows NT 5.0 beta 1 and beta 2. HFVExplorer is experimental freeware software and is distributed under the GNU general public license (GPL). |
SciTech Display Doctor 6.5.3(Demo)2.8 Mb |
It pays to optimize your
drivers and display settings to get the most out of today's
graphic-intensive 3D games, but configuring everything yourself can be a
real pain.
Well, never fear: SciTech is here with Display Doctor. When installed, it will detect your computer and display configuration, and it will either start working in conjunction with what you've already installed, or it will replace those drivers with new ones. It also creates new high-performance graphics modes (like 512x384, 400x300 and 320x240) for scalable performance and image quality. These new modes allow you to run software at the maximum possible frame rate while getting clearer and sharper images. This version of Display Doctor adds acceleration support for numerous additional graphics chips. For step-by-step instructions on how to install and use the program, check out SciTech's installation instructions. |
